<p>Holes in the partitions, cracks in the plaster and peeling tiles are just three of an extended list of issues one homeowner discovered when he moved into his &pound;580,000 dream home. Luke Mahon and his wife, Alison, 35, hoped the newly-built property can be the perfect place to start a household.</p>

<p>But they soon uncovered major faults with their four-bedroom house - and have catalogued 140 since shifting in five months ago. And Mr Mahon, 45, is so annoyed with homebuilder Taylor Wimpey that he has set up a Twitter account to listing them - and warn others off buying comparable properties.</p>

<p>The couple first found signs of wear and tear - together with cracks in the walls and plaster - shortly after transferring in to the house at Woodley, Berkshire, last September. Additionally they encountered larger problems, akin to a badly-fitted &pound;3,000 granite kitchen unit and a misplaced rest room, within the detached residence.</p>

<p>And when temperatures started to plummet last winter, advertising and marketing director Mr Mahon discovered his residence - which was advertised as being 'vitality environment friendly' - had not been fitted with loft insulation. He has created a Twitter account to vent his frustration, and publicly document the long list of problems that he claims have but to be fixed.</p>

<p>Desperate: This photograph, which appears to show poorly-finished floorboards, was captioned with the words 'please repair our home! Using the account @MyHouseSucks, Mr Mahon shares pictures taken inside his dwelling together with captions explaining what is unsuitable. He stated: 'I should not must resort to these sorts of measures to get something performed.</p>

<p>I am really disappointed as a result of we were advised we'd have a brand new residence that wouldn't need any work as we want to start out a family. We lived in Caversham for seven years and did lots of work on it. The couple have even posted the photos within the home windows of their house along with a warning to home-hunters hoping to buy a property in the identical new growth.</p>

<p>And the Mahons are usually not the one couple to have skilled problems since moving to the 48-residence estate. Jason and Tracey Bass said their dwelling has been a relentless building site since they moved in final summer time. The couple have had three separate patios installed in just six months after bodged constructing work meant rainwater kept flowing into their garage and flooding it.</p>
